As you know CodeGear has been sold as of May 7th, 2008. I will do a little presentation on the company that bought them and will cruise thru their site and maybe demo some of their database tools to see what this company is made of :)

And of course as always there will be Pizza. And who knows maybe even a door prize/raffle.

If anyone has anything they want to present, then let me know. I am working on experimenting with web 2.0 development and AJAX so I could maybe talk a little about that.

If you contacted me about presenting some short demo of an app, tips/tricks, components, etc. Then contact me via email to let me know that you can make it to this meeting.

Please keep the demo to 20 minutes.

Let discuss Delphi and CodeGear's new Roadmap that was just published. Also like to hear thoughts of people using Delphi 2007 and maybe some quick demos of its features, so bring your laptop if you own D2007.

Food will be provided for a nominal fee of $5.

RAFFLE PRIZE:
CodeGear has donated a license for Delphi 2007 Pro for Win32. This will be raffled off at our mid-meeting break.

I will be there at 3:30 to beat traffic, but the meeting will not start officially til 4pm, but feel free to arrive as early as 3:30 and we can chat.

Ray Konopka will be presenting a demo of his CodeSite 4.0 tool. In addition Ray has spoken at several BorCon events and to other user groups on general Delphi and development topics. He will be discussing UI design, so there will be lots of value in attending even if you have no intrest in CodeSite. Q/A and open discussion will follow after the presentation with a dedicated moderator to to keep us on track.

The location of this event is Schaumburg. Food and beverages will be supplied courtesy of Porter Lee (Thank You's go to Tim Smith of Porter Lee). Porter Lee offices are located at the North end of the building. There will be a note left on the main entrance doors for our group.
